Elano kamikaze earns a victory

Elano's 7th goal since arriving from Donetsk came as an unlikely and brave header in the face of oncoming boots. It was, however, enough to earn City the 3rd round FA Cup 1-0 victory over West Ham to set a date with Sheffield United. Other news-worthy mentions: New City striker Nery Castillo started but went down and out (on a stretcher, that is) with a dislocated shoulder barely half an hour into the 3rd round replay; And City keeper Joe Hart's unpenalized flattening of Lee Bowyer, much to the chagrin of Hammers' boss Curbishley.
